I wanted to take a moment to share something we've been seeing more often in the transportation industry—extremely low delivery rates. We all want to save money where we can, and we completely understand that transportation costs are an important part of doing business.
That's exactly why Rapid Fire Freight offers our Competitive Pricing Promise.
If you receive a quote from another delivery company, we'd love the opportunity to review it. Whenever possible, we'll match or even beat their pricing.
There is one important requirement.
The company we're competing against must be a legitimate, insured transportation provider.
We've found that some companies—especially those hauling freight under 10,000 pounds—operate without cargo insurance. While heavier commercial vehicles are subject to additional regulations and licensing requirements, many deliveries under 10,000 pounds have fewer regulatory requirements unless they're transporting hazardous materials or oversized/permitted loads.
Unfortunately, this allows some businesses to advertise rates that seem incredibly inexpensive because they aren't paying for protections like cargo insurance.
While those low prices can certainly be appealing, they can also become very expensive if something goes wrong.
If your freight is damaged, lost, or involved in an accident, and the carrier isn't properly insured or refuses to accept responsibility, your business could be left dealing with the financial consequences.
That's why our Competitive Pricing Promise is based on comparing equivalent services. We want to compete with companies that are operating responsibly—not companies that are able to cut costs by cutting corners.
At Rapid Fire Freight, we carry both commercial liability insurance and cargo insurance because we believe your freight deserves to be protected from pickup to delivery.
Another benefit of working with an insured carrier is accountability. Insurance providers often require Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) reviews before providing coverage, meaning insured companies are generally taking additional steps to ensure their drivers meet acceptable driving standards. While insurance alone doesn't guarantee quality, it's an important indicator that a company takes professionalism seriously.
Our Recommendation
Whether you choose Rapid Fire Freight or another carrier, we always recommend asking a few simple questions before trusting someone with your freight.
Before booking a shipment, ask your carrier:
• Can you provide a current Certificate of Insurance (COI)?
• Does your cargo insurance cover the value of my shipment?
• If you're using an owner-operator or independent contractor, can you provide that driver's COI?
• Do you perform Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks on your drivers?
• Can I track my shipment in real time?
• Will I receive pickup and delivery photos, signatures, and Proofs of Delivery (PODs)?
Some transportation companies use owner-operators or contract drivers who carry their own cargo insurance instead of being covered under the company's policy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, if a specific truck is handling your freight, the transportation company should be able to provide that driver's Certificate of Insurance. A professional company should already have those documents on file and be able to provide them upon request.
A few extra minutes verifying insurance can save thousands of dollars—and a great deal of frustration—if something unexpected happens.
At Rapid Fire Freight, we're always happy to provide our Certificates of Insurance because we believe transparency builds trust.
In addition to being fully insured, every one of our drivers is an experienced industry veteran who has successfully completed background checks and Motor Vehicle Record checks. They carry the appropriate PPE and TWIC cards, allowing them to safely service many manufacturing facilities, industrial plants, and refineries.
We also believe communication shouldn't stop after your freight leaves the dock. Every shipment includes real-time tracking, and our drivers are required to take photos at both pickup and delivery. You'll receive access to a customer portal where you can track your shipment and view delivery photos, signatures, Proofs of Delivery, and other important shipping documents anytime you need them.
As a small, family-owned business, we take pride in providing the kind of personal service that's becoming harder to find. When you call Rapid Fire Freight, you'll always speak directly with one of the owners—not a call center or someone reading from a script. You'll talk to someone who knows your shipment, can answer your questions, and has the authority to help.
Our goal isn't simply to be the lowest-priced carrier. Our goal is to provide the best overall value by combining competitive pricing with experienced drivers, proper insurance, outstanding communication, and dependable service.
If you already have a transportation company you enjoy working with, that's wonderful. We aren't looking to replace good relationships that you've built over the years.
We simply hope you'll keep Rapid Fire Freight in mind whenever you need another reliable transportation partner. And if you receive a quote on your next shipment, we'd love the opportunity to review it. If we can provide the same level of protection and professionalism while saving you money, we'd be honored to earn your business.
Warm regards,
